Ω Labs gives the AI safety and governance community in Montréal one stable physical home for its events, meetings, and coworking.
We are at 3813 Saint-Denis, near Sherbrooke metro. One main room plus a kitchenette and balcony. Capacity 10 for coworking, 20 for events.
What happens here
Members work on their projects through the day, whether that's research, engineering, policy, or organizing. Plus a weekly shared lunch.
Sessions of the AI Safety Montréal series: talks, paper readings, and open discussions. Most are public.
Workshops and hackathons, from a half-day to a weekend.
Get support in connecting with other professionals and getting more involved in AI safety.
Visits and membership
Open to people working on AI safety or AI governance: researchers, engineers, policy practitioners, organizers, and students engaging with the field in earnest. Members can invite visitors, book events, reserve coworking days, and vote in monthly meetings.

Governance
A member meeting happens every month; any member can make proposals. Ω Labs is funded by memberships and donations. Coordination happens on the AI Safety Montréal Slack. Participants agree to the code of conduct.
