Montréal’s AI safety community has its own room.
Our story
AI Safety Montréal has run talks, reading groups, socials and hackathons since 2025, at first in borrowed rooms. As the calendar filled up, we took a floor of a building built in 1875 on Saint-Denis and opened in May 2026.
Since then it has hosted people from Epoch AI, Meridian, CNAS, Tara Research, Trajectory Labs and PauseAI, nearly every AI Safety Montréal event, and the AI Control Hackathon in June 2026.
Ω Labs is a program of HΩ (Horizon Omega), a Canadian nonprofit.

The director runs day-to-day operations and answers to HΩ’s board.
